About the market
The Market is an on-farm shop that provides easier access to the delicious meats grown by Maverick Farms, as well as by other local producers, crafters, and farmers. We offer a tailored, in-person shopping experience as well as online shopping, with shipping options and a delivery schedule to many major cities throughout British Columbia. The Market is open Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, and Monday-Friday by appointment. We also have an online store (still under construction - bear with us please! and can ship to most zip codes in BC, plus we offer weekly delivery to 100 Mile House, and biweekly delivery to Kamloops. Please express which delivery/shipping option you would like at Checkout.
Our Hours
As the Market is located on our busy, working farm, we offer By Appointment Only shopping Monday through Friday. Saturdays we are open to the public (no appointment necessary) 10am - 4pm. We ask for a minimum of 4 hours notice for weekday shops and we do not guarantee availability or last minute appointments. We recommend contacting us a few days in advance to make sure we can help you! Our by appointment only system also allows you to have a personal shopping experience, getting help and advice to help you choose the right products for you and your family.
Our Why
At Maverick Farms, we believe in sustainable farming practices that promote the health of our land, our crops, our animals and our customers. We have noticed that the further we progress as a society in certain areas, the further we DIGRESS from a connection to our food. We developed our on-farm store to help people become reconnected with their food, reducing food miles and being able to access our meats on a smaller quantity basis. We will be stocking not only our products, but other local products as well. We will limit our products to the most natural, ethical and humane that we can find, most made/produced within an hours drive of the farm. From homestead supplies, grocery items, animal-based crafts, natural skincare and cosmetics and of course, delicious meat produced right here at Maverick Farms, we hope to start a revolution to bring grocery shopping back to the farm and farmers.
